If just installed 90/10 front shocks with what I believe to be 6 cyl springs. However the car sits about 1 inch higher than before.
The springs looked the same as the original v8 springs and had about the same compression.
Have I done something wrong on install?

The key would be being to identify the springs. If it sits higher then the springs are different to what you believe them to be.

Have you driven it yet? The suspension will settle after a drive.

90/10 SHOCKS are designed for drag cars for stiffness at the front so to provide better traction at the rears and weight transfer

Not really for the street

Thats what i found online. Hence prob why bit stiff and high up the front.

If springs changed then will settle a bit but not by much

The car only gets driven at the drag strip so that's OK. The springs I bought off a guy wrecking his v6 it had a sticker on one of the coils 92048201.
I know it's meant to be hard to push down and easy to lift I just thought it should sit at least the same height as before

Usually 2 types/height springs between models....think fe2 slightly lower & stiffer then other type softer & taller.

Got caught out on mates car ended up nearly 2 inches higher apparently 'highway pack' or some crap for a vh commodore
