VR Statesman
Gday all,

Long time reader first time poster.

I have just bought a 94 VR statesman. Now the person claims its HSV enhanced limited edition. I cant find anything HSV about it except from the badge on the back of the car. No build number on dash, no id plate in engine bay, standard CAI ect. How can I tell if its HSV enhanced?

Cheers.

Kummo.

Without the engine bay plate, its NOT enhanced.

You can still check the VIN on HSVs authentication page on their website.

hi it should have a build number in the dash as well. you've picked up a pretty rare car there from memory i think there was only about 50 that were HSV's

He said it doesn't have a build plate, or the dash badge, just a badge on the back. Its probably just the owner claiming it s aHSV to get more money for it (please tell me you didn't pay more than a regular stato for it....)

Nah I payed about the right amount according to red book. Looks like its not a hsv. Can it be taken to the HSV factory after it was purchased to get mods done?

You could do that with some models, not sure if VR Stato was one.

but it would definately have the build plate in the engine bay, and be recognised on HSVs site i linked above.
