99 vt commodore

I've got a vt commy that pops the fuel pump fuse whenever the ignition is turned on, anyone know what the issue could be

Could be wiring short or shagged pump. Either is pulling more amps than rated for the pump and fuse.


Do you hear the pump try and prime then pop or instant pop?
