I have been having an issue where after 10 mins or so (quicker when it's hot like now 43 degs in old Adelaide town!) the a/c stops and blows hot air. I had the car in last week to get it fixed and $350 later it came out with a new tx valve, drier/filter, fluro dye to test for leaks and a regas. Well apart from being $350 lighter in the pocket it still has the same issue. I went back to have a grizzle and they asked me to check the compressor when it starts to pump hot air. Presto coming home it got hot again and it looks as if the clutch is slipping as it is only just turning when the a/c is on. Question is that I caled Holden spares and they said that the clutch kit is now obsolete and you have to buy a new compressor arghhhhhhhhhh ! Can you get after market or recon clutches and how much ????

yes you can get aftermarket ones but a/c compressors ant cheep. all i would do is get one from the wreckers and make shure its been sealed up ie still on the car with out the lines disconnected

Thanks for the replies. I am hoping that you can get after market or recon clutch kits for my unit which is for a 5 litre i.e. they have a different pully set up when compared to the V6.
