Well I just put my car in for an ac regas. everything was fine till the fittings come off and one of the valves where they fill the gas was leaking. I opted to pay to get new seals on the hoses near the compressor and new valves, but one of them would not come out which was the top one on the silver cannister near the strut tower. so we left it in and did the regas and found the prob...... now I am having trouble sourcing a vx ss or vu ss etc as the v8 have different a/c lines to the v6. I am wondering if i should contemplate cutting off the valve fitting and getting a new one welded on. would this far outweigh the cost of getting a new hose?
