hey guys just wondering rough prices on running a second pipe through and if they would both be 2.5in. also will it make much diffrence noise/performance wise. also been having this really loud grindeing noise from the rear only seems to happen when i go up a gutter or into my driveway other then that i never hear it. it is really loud to lol any ideas what that could be, last but not least got 2 new tyres for 2 of my 20s now old mate put them on 245/35/20 and they hit my struts at the front but he said they will fit on the rear does anyone know if they will or not cbf jacking it up right now haha cheers
In my opinion, not worth the money running a second exhaust pipe, especially on a V6. V8 different story though. Grinding noise, probably the axle moving under load and making the tyre rub on the inner guard. 245s will require guards to be rolled and an adjustable panhard rod adjustment. You're pushing it with 245s. Better off going 225s all round. No modifications required and no rubbing.
No, 245 is the correct width assuming the wheels are 20x8. Not sure why they are rubbing, but maybe wrong offset or something. I don't know, too tired too think.
235 is the biggest you're normally ment to go on the front from memory cant see why the rear wouldnt fit them, mines got 235s and looks like there is a bit of room in the rears to go wider. running 2nd exhaust pipe. so change it to a full twin system? apparently a few have said a proper twin 2.25 system on the vs is a nice sound. i dunno. if youve got the money and nothing to loose then go for it. who knows, you might be able to pick up a full system on the cheap. goodluck
havnt tried them on the back yet rims did come no 245/30/20 and they fitted, old mate at the shop wanted me to have my 2 17s on the front and the 2 20s on the back i was like naah lol so have to see if they fit if not will be getting 245/30/20
I've installed 245s on another VS ute before and it rubbed on the struts and rear inner guards. The only way I fixed the issue was to fit wheel spacers and a slight camber adjustment on the front, and an adjustable panhard rod and guards being rolled slightly on the rear. 245s the right size for the rim maybe, but not the right size for the vehicle. Then again, I have 235s on my own ute with no problems.
so i had a good listen while she was scraping away defintly coming from rear had a quick inspect and it seems the left rear disc has been scraping more then the right anyone think it could have something to do with brake pads/calipers, or think a rock could have got stuck up somewhere, which i doubt or it would be doing it constantly only when i am coming to a stop like braking at 20kms
well me mate put the diff in and we just used the calipers that were connected he reckons he checked and they were good but i have been having a little bit of fun... but wouldnt it be loud as soon as i put the brakes on cause its just when im slowing down doing about 10-20 kms
