u need the vs loom to patch with your vn loom, u need the heater box and everything that go with it, and u use the cruise, hazards, lights etc. that r on the vs dash..

dude, can u spare a dollar or 2? goto public library and photocopy every wiring diagram page u need from the vn and vr/s manuals!!

dad did it when he had a vn wagon back in 2000, but he copied the whole thing!!!

then i got my wagon, bought a manual and then we found his folder with the copied one a few months later.

but yeh, someone whos done it will help too

i did the conversion on my vn wagon but for simplicity i used the vr loom, engine, gearbox and did a complete swap. this way i got all the vr options, so i cant directly help u with wiring patches. but if u can read a wiring diagram it should be easy.

even using the vr/s heater box u still need to modify the demister outlets and body as when its fitted into a vn\p the outlets sit flush on the firewall,
what i did was cut off a section from the centre outlet for the dash vents on the vn heater box, and the same from the vr one, then got it to line up with the vr dash and glued it all together.

and i am contemplating doing the same to my vq with a vr statesman loom but i have to see what the wife has to say about it yet lol.

i might just cut out holes next to the cluter on the vs dash and just mould the vn switch blocks in! haha it would look wierd

have you checked out this thread http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...993/64420-upgrade-vn-dash-pad-vr-vs-dash.html ?
I used a vr clubby loom and it had all the options and also the vr bcm....computer wiring for yb62 ( used a vn computer)needed some moding and the two plugs that connect the engine near the fuses under the bonnet yb55 and 51 and speed sensor/backup lamp wiring need a few alterations but most things were plug and play
