ABS and Traction indicators on simultaneously!

Hi peoples,

When i start my car my abs light and traction ligths comes on....Why is this happening...any help would be greatly appreciated...

ABS Fuse could be gone, ABS module could be dead, check the fuse in your engine bay :)

Also the connector on the module may be dirty unplug it and have a look.

do the lights stay on?
if so there will be a fault in the system disabling it, probably a wheel speed sensor at a guess

It only comes on somes times when i start the car.....when it does come on its stays on for the rest of that trip?.....i dont think its the fuse if it happens on a on and off basis.....weird...

Yeh mine does the same, it'll come on randomly and then once the ca ris turned off and restarted it usually is gone. . . . .

get the code checked, this will be a good indication to where the fault is, until then its all guesswork

Hey Rob, will bridging out the terminals under the dash bring up the code, or will it have to be hooked up to the computer at a dealer?

it is possible i think to flash codes from the ABS, ill have to look it up, easier to get it checked at a dealer
