Ok so ive been having abs problems with the warning lights coming up.
And got a code 71 but my friend is confusing me by talking about there being 2 abs moduals. One in the engin bay and one in the dash.
My question is is this correct? I know where the engin bay one is but where is the other one? what one do i need to change? Or could it be a case of paying russian roulet of changing one to find out what ones stuffed.

DTC 71 is a Control Module Internal Fault. You may be up for a replacement ABS module (electronic component).

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The ABS or ABS/ETC control module performs various diagnostic checks on itself. If the control module detects an internal fault, DTC 71 will be set.
If a failure is detected which causes DTC 71 to set, the ABS or ABS/ETC is disabled and the control module illuminates the ABS or ABS and TRAC OFF warning lamps for the remainder of the ignition cycle. If the failure is
intermittent, the control module will enable the system at the next ignition cycle and a history DTC 71 will be set.

Ok cool i went and had a look at the abs modual and took it half out so i can get the part number to find the same one (because ive been told thats important)
The number is 0273084485 but i cant find any with that number.
I found one with the pump number that is 92080879. But I have no idea if thatll mean the modual number will be the same and its off ebay so theres no returns.
But i found out after having this problem for so long there is actually an abs specialist in the town over so im gunna give them a call and hopefully theyll help without costing an arm and a leg.

92080879 Is a GM/Holden part number.
The other 10 digit number is a bosch part number.

googled "gm 92080879" and came up with this.

Regardless of if the seller accepts or doesn't accept returns then pay with paypal for extra piece of mind, simply you are still protected under australian consumer law and if sold something that doesn't do what it's advertised to do you are still protected, even if it's something secondhand. If the seller has a high feedback rating like the one i linked, selling alot of other items and has a business store linked then it's a business and there's no way they can legally refuse a refund for supplying faulty merchandise.

Miss read the part number it was 0273004485.
Found the part at my local u pick wreaker and put it in. At first it didnt work had the abs, trac off and low trac lights on then i realised that i forgot to put the plug back on (duh) and then let the car sit in igintion on position with the engin off for 5 mins until the lights turned off and then turned the car on and went for a drive.. no lights came back on. So touch wood looks like crisis averted.
