Hi guys new to the page, had my 99 vt wagon in for a wof and has failed on the abs light staying on, has been on for some time have no idea why no other lights come on at all ( don’t have a traction control button) I wouldn’t have a clue abs so am a bit lost on what exactly to do etc, thanks in advance for feedback and advise

Well, first thing to do would be to check the ABS fuse.

The most likely cause of it will be that the ABS module has stopped working and will need replacing. The easiest option will be to get a wrecker to assist getting a replacement and then having a mechanic fit it. You can get new ones but they'll be quiet expensive compared to 2nd hand ones.

The ABS is the Anit-lock Brake System so when you have to jam on the brakes hard it stops the wheels from locking up which causes the car to take longer to stop. A failed ABS if found during a crash could potentially void insurance too if it's been known to not have been working for a while.

Cheers mate was told that just wanted another opinion, will get onto getting another module
