Hi all,

I bought a 2010 SV6 recently, and noticed that the car doesn't go well of the mark. The acceleration is slow up to 4,000RPM's, then it starts to accelerate as it should., The car feels lazy.

I have replaced the alternator recently, but even before that the car was doing the same.
(Air filter is new).

I have driven another SV6 recently and it goes like a rocket compared to mine.

I know there are many reasons why the car is behaving like this, but what's your opinion, where do I start, what should be checked first?

Cheers

Get yourself a throttle controller like iDrive or the one from Mace

Also what's the maintenance history been like? Have spark plugs been changed?
Have you checked the throttle body for carbon build up?

Not sure if the s/plugs were ever changed as I bought the car with k120Km however I'm willing to try the iDrive, as it has 30 days return/no questions asked.
Will report back if iDrive help with this issue.

Yeah keep us posted as it would be good hear the outcome.

Also might be a good idea to change plugs soon as a maintenance thing
