Acessing the Oil Filter 2012 series 2 VE SV6

How do you get enige oil out of SV6 motor there is no sump plug

I forgot to mention it is a Series 2 I know the series1 had a sump plug

They all have sump plugs.... get off the crack!!

RiCeY can you please have a look at the MY12 oil filter top it has wiring running over the top of it so I don`t see how you can unscrew it all the way and seems to be rubbing.
I just had a look.
I know the link is a VZ and I don`t know about early VEs.
Is there is a trick to it and if there is can you share please?

Take the plastic cover off.

You should be able to just push the loom to the side to get the filter cover off. This was the case with the MY11 cars. It's a touch harder to get them out as it's not a straight lift up, but not impossible. Unsure if it's changed though.

Yeah stupid design on Holden's part but you can still get the filter out.

How do you get enige oil out of SV6 motor there is no sump plug

Best way I was told was to get 5 big strong mates and turn the car over and drain it through the filler plug, be careful not to scratch the bonnet or roof when you flip it over
