I love my Yokohama S221's.
Never lost it in the wet at round-a-bouts.
Also with trac control ON, you can launch from start in the wet, no probs
Also my brother got 4 new S221's through the Holden dealer for $1050, fitted/balanced and 4 wheels aligned.
Now that is a bloody good price right there, and they are Yokohama.

Ive found the falkens to be good in the wet. Plenty of grip and wouldnt loose traction at all unless your giving it some.

I need some advice from someone who doesn't just want to sell me an expensive tyre!

I've been reading reviews on the Achilles ATR Sport, Hankook Ventus K114 and K110 tyres 245/45/18 and I still have no idea which one to get. I really just want a tyre that really grips in the wet.

Has anyone tried any of these? How do they handle in the wet and how many KMs did you get out of them? While it would be nice to save a bit of money, price isn't my main concern at the moment.

Hey

Anyhoos, i use ATRs, get about 30000-35000kms fronts and about 25000-30000kms on the rears
All round decent grip in wet and dry. Confidence is good with these tyres in the wet.

Noisey??
Not too sure what you mean? lol.
Nah they are not too bad at all, different roads make a different sound when you drive on them

All I know is that they have awesome grip, wet or dry. I have my originals still on the 02/11 VE sv6 sportwagon that has 37000ks on it and still looks to have 70% tread left.
When I need some new ones, I will be using them again, if they still make em in 2 years time or so, lol.
Grab a set while you still can. You won't be disapointed.

Anyone know of somewhere in Perth that stocks the Achilles? Tyre shops here want $350 - $370 a corner for the Federals or Falkens, thinking of mail ordering the Achilles from Wheeldeal if I can't find somewhere in Perth with them at a reasonable price.
