VE Omega
Hey all. Recently purchased an awesome low mileage 2010 omega (3.0l SIDI). The other day I was stopped at a red light and intended to overtake the car next to me as I needed to get over. I tried popping it into sports mode but must have accidently pushed the lever up and entered AS mode. This is because I got to about 50km/h and noticed the tacho was maybe at about 6000rpm and the engine was super loud. I realised what likely happened and put it back into standard drive.

Question is, is there any chance I've damaged something? I'm assuming there's a rev limiter?
Thanks

I would think you are fine, they do have a rev limiter and as long as it isn’t making any crazy noises now I wouldn’t worry about it.

Nope nothing to worry about, doesn’t hurt giv it a good ole thrashing here and there so long as your not low on oil
