Hey guys,

been hunting through the threads but haven't found exactly what I wanted.

Can someone run me through the cost and process of adding sat nav to the all ready installed (from factory) IQ unit in my car?

When u hit the Nav or Maps button, it comes up with it being unavailable.

I've seen ASX Tech has xbox in his, so it cant be that hard.

Did a quick google look. For some reason I can't post the link to JHP
JHP in Melbourne does it for $1,687 if they fit it or $2750 if you do it yourself but if you do it yourself you can get $1200 back by giving them your old IQ system. (They sell the old system to people with Series 1 VE's that want the IQ system in their car.

There is one other option available....

1) Purchase an used IQ unit from fleabay (Make sure that the unit has Sat Nav, and that the seller is not just saying that it has SatNav because it has a NAV button on it.
There have been a couple that have been sold recently for around the $700-$850 mark

2) Send it to someone like Ultimate Conversion Wiring to have the VIN number matched to your car (And get the driving lockouts such as video in motion, etc enabled / disabled whilst he has the unit

3) Fit the IQ unit with Sat Nav to your car

4) Sell your Old IQ unit on fleabay for $500-$600 to those people that are looking to retrofit an IQ unit to their Series I commodore.

This will work out much cheaper than going aftermarket (once you have sold your old IQ unit), and you will end up with VIM enabled, and factory nav that integrates with the cluster and steering wheel controls.
