Adding switch to open boot...

Am having hard time getting used to a sedan...after 12 years or so of VR, VS, VT wagons, now in a VX sedan remote keys have the 3 button tabs...3rd one for the boot release.

But sick and tired of car being unlocked..keys inside then want to open the boot and have to go chasing keys to use the remote.

Is there a way to fit a switch [maybe in glovebox like old VCs etc] that will serve as a way to unlock boot, without it affecting the remote control unlock function?

Hoping someone else had same issue,and found a workaround...

There is already a switch in the glovebox, or should be.

I have a VX Exec. Open the glove box and to the right should be a shiny black button.

Press it and see what happens.

yes...should say I was actually quoting she who must be obeyed...when I told her "open the glovebox, there should be a little round switch button there...push it" and I took her at her word...should've had a look myself eh? But thanks for the replies...
