Wanting to add a "lift pump" into my std fuel system to assist the OE mechanical fuel pump, I got a tachometric relay that I'll use to switch it.

Any recommendations, engine is std comp, Group A cam, headers & exhaust around 250hp. I don't use the car much and always need to crack it over some what before it fires.

If possible without an additional fuel pressure regulator (& quiet operation), I think I read somewhere HDT did this type of upgrade back in the day????

Cheers

Yeah back in the day some cars had pump in tank & yes they're are pumps that don't need regulator like4psi carter pumps...if you can stick with hi-vol mechanical I would.

Most likely heatsoak or vapour lock is reason why it needs to crank over for awhile...they did all sorts of things on brocks/sle/chasers from larger fuel lines to lifter pumps & I think some cars even got heatsleeves.

I'm sure Smitty will remember which cars got what.
