hey guys, I’m thinking of doing something different with my car regarding putting on dished interceptors with adventra flares, how would I go about fitting them? Do they come off the adventra by themselves if I pry them off the fenders?, or would I need to make my own fender flares.

Pic related is what my idea is.

Can't answer your question but Holden did a similar thing with the SSX Concept

I am surprised the flare idea didn't gain some traction with the aftermarket.

    That looks quite nice actually,
where it flows down to the skirts, and over the front guard to the front bumper.

You can see the influence on/of VE lines.....just less muscular.

There is/was on this forum (?) photos of a CV8 with Adventra wheel arch flares only. Not the prettiest job, looked like something from a 4WD dress-up shop.
You would likely have to get the whole set, ie front bar, wheel arches, shorten the side skirts, and wagon rear bar as they all blend in together, to make it look integrated.
The bits are only attached by screws, dismantling should not be a chore.

They look absurd, why not just get them rolled instead, but why bother unless your wanting to put 265 on the back.

Yep, 4WD dress up shop specials.
The Adventra front track is 48mm, and rear track 36mm, wider than usual. The standard wheels are same offset as usual.
It would not be hard to get aftermarket wheels width/offset to replicate that. Lowering it would be a different story.

HSV Coupe 4 also rocked flares, but HSV had to gas axe the guards to make them fit.

Same as Torana, although probably just brutalised with a sawzall or similar

Somewhere in my archives, ( along with my F111s magazine :( ) I have photos of a naked AWD Coupe after they chopped off the wheel arches.
It would be a toss-up with the flared Toranas. Not pretty.

This will give you an idea of the amount of cutting you would need to do to make it look really good, not necessarily with fabbed metal flares (not really a fan of the rear ones on this) - https://www.xairperformance.co.nz/body-kits-bonnets/widebody-flare-kit-for-ve-vf-commodore.html

Rolling or pumping? Rolling is just taking the inner lip down, but pumping is still difficult and is essentially still major panel beating. Can fit 265s under stock guards pretty easily too with a roll, just gotta use a ruler and get that right width and offset wheel.
