Had an engine change a few months back and had dreadful trouble since . When I start cold my engine warning light comes on .when I reset if I warm it up before I drive it will stay off all day , but if I drive off cold it will come on in an instance .also the auto box drives like the "clutch is slipping " ( as would if it was in a manual ) but only until it warms up . Then sometimes at 90km/hr when I floor it it drops the gears and revs to 4500 rpm and does nothing else ... It will not go above 90 unless I back the throttle off and it goes up the gears .
The garage where I got the engine don't want to know anymore but I suspect they think it is something to do with the vacuum as when it came back from the garage they had left a vacuum gauge connected to the inlet manifold , they had it there for a reason .
Such a nightmare.
