They are horribly thirsty in standard tune. At the very least get it tuned for some sort of reasonable economy numbers.
Just keep an eye on the transfer case and diff oil levels and you should be right.

I have a 6.0 litre cross 8 and giving it the berries up the putty the other night i averaged 14.9 l/100k. Mostly 11 to 13. Pretty decent i reckon and it is stock as a rock. Grab one while ya can i reckon
