VS L67 Caprice
I have a blown auto in my VS 5 litre, and I can get a stage 2 auto with billet servos and 3000rpm converter from a VR L67 at a great price. My question is will this bolt up and run without issue when fitted to a 304? There’s seems to be a mountain of different answers, can someone please offer advice from knowledge and facts. Tia.

Never heard of a VR L67.

As others said bellhousing & input shaft...doubt convertor would bolt up to v8 flexplate either.

Also how do you know if box is actually vr or vs let alone 12 plug or 13 plug or if trans came out of vt which is different again.

After all that you'd still need someone to pull down both transmissions to swap parts to make one workable unit when less fuss to just have original fixed...

They have code painted on case or tag on side to identify transmission...if you have 6HBD might be able to gamble with 7HBD but 4HBD won't work.

Basically whatever code transmission you try to replace it with same one or get yours repaired otherwise might end up costing 2-3 times more for the mistake.
