[NSW] Advice on transporting an offroad buggy from Vic to Newcastle

Hi all

I recently purchased a sidewinder off road buggy off a bloke in Haven Victoria now I need to get it up to Newcastle. I looked at one courier company that was going to charge a grand!! I really don't want to pay this much.

Has anyone got any recommendation on who I can use or another way of getting it up here for less than a thousand bucks..

Dimensions are as follows

W: 1450
H:1500

Well, there aren't too many options. You've eliminated one of them

The most obvious is to drive to Haven from Muswellbrook or wherever with a rented or borrowed car trailer. Got a tow bar on your car? Probably two to three days travel, two overnights plus fuel and rental costs, if any. How does that compare to a courier?

I've actually come across a company called "Uship" where I list an ad for my buggy to be transported from Vic to here and courier companies bid and then I choose who I want (most reliable/affordable)

Bloody awesome site, easy to use and they've even got an app for iPhone..

Got one bid so far @ $850, not bad hopefully gets to around $600
