Well im a bit annoyed as i want to listen to the radio in the car but about 5 months ago i took the car in to the auto electrician to find an electrical fault i had and he goes "its the head unit" and he has just ripped it out and the pin in the Aerial plug at the back has since snapped off.......if i cut the whole fitting/connector off can i somehow purchase another one and solder the wires and tape it up again? and if so where can i get that fitting.......

Cheers
Kurt

1999 wh statesman
is it the coax connector or the hole that the arial plugs into that was ripped out?

if its the antenna (spelling) coax plug just chop it and resolder the plug back on.
if its the connector on the back of the head unit take out the unit take off cover and inspect for damaged wires, if you find them it may be best to take it to a professional, but if your handy with a soldering iron reattach the wires to the corrosponding places and put back together.
if you go to jaycar you may find what you are looking for
