Furthermore it gives the broader community an opportunity to escape from their day to day lives and unite for a common cause in a bit of fun. I'm an essendon supporter.. (sad i know), so i'm a neutral.. the last quarter was horrible when it came to umpiring, player getting dragged off the ball.. I was surprised they actually gave the tippet free kick, seeing as there were other frees which were just as obvious. Also collingwood didn't win by skill, just pure luck. And also wtf was Rutten thinking?
Its going to be unbearable at work this week, I honestly never knew how many closest Collingwood and Bulldogs supports there are at the office. The saddest thing is that there are only 2 saints supports in the office :cry: Go saints!!! :thumbsup:
I was shattered when Anthony kicked that goal... The crows had it coming though. It just wasn't a team effort and to win finals it needs to be. I really hate playing Collingwood because the number of close games we have lost against them is unbearable. I hope Tippett stays with Adelaide. If Crows don't have a big 2010 I reckon he'll be going to Gold Coast.
You obviously dont know your footy mate you dont win by luck the second quarter we closed them down stopped there run dont know how luck came to do that third quarter we dominated because we changed tactics and moved the ball freely like what adelaide did to us in the first the fourth quarter was there too be won the umpire should never have given a free kick to tippet and they cost us at least a couple more with redicolous free kicks but as the replay showed it was always a free kick and im glad the uimpire saw it. MICK MALTHOUSE IS VERY UNDERESTIMATED AND NOT GIVEN A LOT OF CREDIT BUT HE IS ONE OF THE BEST COACHES IN THE AFL NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. GOOOOOOOO PIEEEEEEESSSSSSSS:w00t:

what im about to say will probably come as no surprise, the last decision made by the umpire in the collinwood game was actually quite biassed, he had several similar items like that he should have paid to adelaide and didnt, and it being paid to wood's timing was too convenient. We have several codes with umpiring, one of them is if you screw up and make a bad decision keep going acting like it was the right one. When you get to the higher levels sometimes your told to do things like pay certain things heavily, ignore somethings, or my all time favourite one keep it even (which is what your pretty much told). Here in SA i've met a few umpires who have incredible hatred for teams, and they still get games umpiring the teams which they shouldnt. One who's name im not going to mention became an umpire after failing to make the grade for their team, is a complete arrogant tool (did a traning session with him as guest coach a year ago) and he is hte most biassed official I have ever met. Strangely enough you can notice when he doesnt like a team. When a game is being done they are meant to grab the most ubiassed person avaliable and a lot of hte times it doesnt happen, sa and wa umpires get shunned by the victorians constantly. Where am i going with this, if you were listening to the commentators, they werent praising any of the moves made by adel, yet every single thing collingwood did right they couldnt stop applauding. When the umpi made his decision at hte last minute they all applauded it as a hard but great choice. If he had done the same thing for the other team it would have been called an 'interesting mistake' or something. You get this problem with a lot of games, at one of our games yesterday had our secondary field umpire send off a player from pooraka for offensive language, few seconds later a player from elizabeth full on decked one of hte pooraka guys and didnt get pinned, if it was my game would have reported the guy, after that there were another 2 head high tackles missed, it took that many instances 3 total indiscretions before the field finally paid something their way. And yeah even im no shining example, before my main game yesterday was doing boundary of a 15s game, last goal a side kicked wasnt a goal, kid missed and clearly got a point, goal umpire was sure it was a goal, didnt wanna get the ball or argue to let him pay it as a goal (that and hte team was already 12 goals in front.)
mate did you watch the game there was at least 3-4 goals basically given to the crows for bullshit mistakes made by the umpire that were never there if your trying to say its rigged and biased based its not your local footy league is a big difference between afl dont get me wrong i dislike the umpires but that last free kick was always there.as for the commentators it was an exciting last few minutes and depending on which radio station u listening too i distinctly remeber one of commentators on triple M saying what a controversy and a turn around from the pies
there is no way the crows deserved to win that game......to be so dominate in the first half and then allow the pies back in in the 3rd quarter...the crows lost the game, its that simple...in finals u can't afford to let the foot slip....I can't stand the crows, but hate the pies more, but want to see them make the grand final...I don't care if the saints or the doggies win it, just wanna see the pies loose another grand final to add to the 25 they have already lost
