People here don't even mention NRL...it has absolutely ZERO exposure anywhere in SA. Thats a good thing cos from what I've seen it aint nothing but a bunch of fat ####s tackling each other for 90% of the game
In melbourne it was hardly mentioned but of late because of the melbourne storm whoopin everybodies asses then getting fined for salary cap bs n all that crap it got a fair bit of exposure...still I don't see how anyone can compare the two, NRL gets 10,000 people to a game and it's a freaking miracle...people are cart-wheeling in the streets, AFL gets 10,000 people to a game and everybody looks around..."WTF happened?...was there a tornado?...did everybody else in town die?...where is everyone?"

The West Coast Richmond game as it turned out was a cracker of a game and one of the best of the year so far. I'm sure Ch7 were more than happy to run that close finish into the Evening news rather than the Hawks 2 goal second half.

I can't stand people that don't enjoy any sport, what kind of sheltered lives did they live as children?...I used to have a mate that didn't like any sport and called car racing "sport" I was like...."OMG NO ITS NOT!....just because they call it "motor sport"....doesn't make it a sport" lol. As for the time slots, it's the complete reverse in melbourne, NRL footy show is on late and AFL footy show is on at 9:30 on thursdays....also prob my favorite AFL show isn't even on here, Before the game on channel ten, had dave hughes, fitzy , lehmo , cal wilson.
Before the game used to be on channel 1. Not sure if they've dumped it or not though. Lol each to their own with sports I guess though he gets a kick outta me watching it and swearing at the tv. Why the hatred for Motorsport? Lol I always watch the F1 and the MotoGP, even when they are on at 3am because I don't work Monday's I always try to watch the V8's on Sundays but it depends on what's happening in the footy.
I"ve just never had interest in "motorsport"...I have to put that in inverted comma's because I can't take it seriously, not denying for a second that it takes skill...it's just not a sport, it's a glorified hobby lol.
