Couldn't agree more ziebel getting 4 for that and a 50% loading is absolutely unacceptable and a ####ing disgrace to AFL, these idiots trying to change football into a softer sport are going way too far. Absolute disgrace. Even more so when wellingham who clearly only went for the man and hit him so hard hard he knocked him out and broke his jaw was given 3 weeks. I agree with Damian Berret, I don't give a **** how clean his record is, 3 weeks for knocking someone out and breaking their jaw is disgusting when ziebel gets 4 for knocking into someone while going for the ball.

I don't think its a pussy sport at all. It's just the powers that be have decided to suspend guys for incidental head high contact with the opposition. The hard contact still goes on it's just instead of putting it down as bad luck and moving on guys are getting punished.

I think this might change after this year but for the time being the MRP and tribunal have to keep enforcing the flawed system

Okey dokey so tips for this week, winners in bold

    Geelong v Essendon by 17
    Collingwood v Hawks by 48
Adelaide v West Coast by 7
Gold Coast v Lions by 15

    Melbourne v Port by 8
    Sydney v Saints by 18
Richmond v North Melbourne by 45

Dont think bombers can pull it off against Geelong, but who knows, we seem to struggle more with the bottom half of the ladder than the top lol. Hoping Hawks can ream the wobbles something bad. Melbourne v Port game was a big, well who knows who will come on top with that one. If it was played in Adelaide I would have picked Port.

And lol Alpha, just beat me to it :p

AFL has become a pussy sport. All this crap about umpire appreciation I don't agree with also, the saying used to be "a good umpire is one you don't notice" well now they wear bright colors, have a week dedicated to them, can block your move but if you block theirs you get pinned, they make mistakes and get away with them but players don't (look at Walker, he gets a free kick but then gets 3 weeks for the same tackle, the umpire gets 3 weeks but then silently the AFL let him off) and finally when have we gone to a game because of umpires? They should do the job because they love the game not because they want the sporting world to love them. I'm sorry but the game has changed and not for the good, the skills have improved but the administrative side has lost site of the big picture and that is the game is for the supporters. All the AFL are interested in is how much $$$ can they rape out of everyone.

Anyone else here into their fantasy footy?

I've pretty much finalised my 2012 supercoach team this morning. I've got 4 trades and $80k salary left so from here on I'm not going to trade to build my team anymore unless it's a final, but I will trade for long term injuries.

    This is how I'm looking:

Defenders: Deledio, Heath Scotland, Goddard, Brian lake, Davis, Heppell, Dempsey

Mids: Sam Mitchell, Gary Ablett, Boyd, Priddis, Zorko, McCarthy

    Rucks: Maric, Goldstein

Forwards: Buddy, Pavlich, Dustin Martin, Goodes, Reiwoldt, Cloke, Patton.

Valuable Subs: Taylor Hunt, Morris, Horsley, Tom couch, Izzy folau, Orren stephenson.

My main weaknesses are: McCarthy in the midfield, Davis in the backline and patton/folau/couch in the forward. I can trade my $300k+ subs to get some more scoring power for these guys but I want to see what injuries I need to cover first, then make my final moves in the finals.

    Hows everyone else traveling?

Monkeys437 - I started the year so poorly in supercoach I gave up after about round 11 or 12, lol.

From start of next season we should make a supercoach league or whatever and get into it, there seems to be enough interest here for it I reckon...

I gave up a bit too last season. I had so many injuries and a lot of the rookies I invested in didn't get consistent game time but I held them anyway. The high dollar players lost value early then got injured. Eventually I ran out of trades but still made 2nd round of finals in my league

I've done it different this year. I've had better bench coverage so I haven't wasted trades for minor injuries and suspensions. I had buddy, Maric, Martin and Goddard on the bench last week and still hit 2000. I've paid a lot of attention to the break even scores each weak and waited for the right time to pick up Priddis, Abblett, and Boyd for really cheap mid season which set me up well

Good to see the wobbles and west coast get their asses kicked lol. Real shame saints couldn't beat Sydney but kind of expected playing on swans turf. Bombers lost as expected and unfortunately have to come up against hawks next week. Tigers and roos game was pretty damn close with roos just winning and freo is well and truly beating gws at half time 62-3 so expecting a 100+ win on that one

Well, roos *just* won over the tigers, what an amazing match played at such a great intensity!

Been a good round of footy, ladders looking interesting. Crows second, who would guessed that at the start of the year?

It's a good time to be a Hawthorn supporter :)

Should be a good game next Friday against the Bombers, but definitely expecting a win there, and if Geelong beat Adelaide down at Skilled then the mighty Hawks will be 2nd on the ladder.

    Bring it on
