Should be a great finals series, I'm hoping Geelong have one last effort in them. Aside from them I'm on the Hawkers once Richmond finish up next week.

Friday night was probably the least I've enjoyed a Richmond win ever, and definitely the least I've ever enjoyed a win against essendon. I was so close to leaving at 3/4 time and then all the way through the last quarter just didn't want to be there. We had the bombers on the ropes, 3 votes for cotchin and a Coleman for Jack up for grabs yet we didn't get out of 2nd gear all night, and the kicking for goal and decision making were horrendous.

On a positive note, Nic Nats game against Collingwood was some of the most exciting footy I've seen, and I made both my supercoach GF's despite finishing 6th and 7th and running out of trades a while back

Agree, I found it pretty hard to get excited about Friday's game. Horrid kicking for goal and Essendon just seemed shot....we should have smashed them.

I"ll be on the Hawks for the finals too. Certainly don't want the Eagles or Collingwood to do any good.

And Nic Nat's future is scary....I am in awe of his athleticism.

I believe that if Ablett was playing in a team that actually won a few games he probably would have won the brownlow last year and I think he'd be a chance this year, he's been absolutely outstanding this season.

All you have to do is look at the AFLCA (Coaches player award) Hard to Cotch - AFL.com.au

Ablett is third and his team has won 3 games for the year. Interesting to note the top ten for the season thus far:
    LEADERBOARD
    103 Trent Cotchin (Rich)
    93 Dayne Beams (Coll)
    92 Gary Ablett (GC)
    88 Jobe Watson (Ess)
    82 Patrick Dangerfield (Adel)
    82 Scott Thompson (Adel)
    80 Matthew Boyd (WB)
    79 Josh Kennedy (Syd)
    73 Brett Deledio (Rich)
    73 Scott Pendlebury (Coll)

Looks like you guys might be right about him with the brownlow....

Oops, didn't see VS 5.0 already mentioned the coaches assoc. voting :p

Makes it a lot easier for him when you think about it, him being the most dominant player in his team means hes got little competition and easier to get votes. As against top 4 teams which have a lot more competition between players, they've still done well though.

So, instead of tipping for this weeks round, Who do people think is going to make the grand final?

Hard to say without final positions on the ladder but I'll pull out the crystal ball and tell you whats coming up in a month:

I've got a gut feeling on 3 GF combinations-

Hawthorn v West Coast, Hawthorn v Geelong (I'd freakin love to see that) Hawthorn v Sydney.

Cant see Collingwood getting there with a fragile backline and an out of sorts forward line. Can't see Hawks missing it, and I like West Coast's list and game style for finals footy.

Geelong are a dark horse for sure but they've got players who can get it done when it counts.

North are making up the numbers, but with a young side there's nothing wrong with that. Freo aren't that good. Adelaide should really be about 6th but their favorable "draw" has got them a top 4 spot without them really being a top 4 team. Wont win away from home, not a contender, but a much improved year

Now, with all that in mind I'll predict a West coast Hawthorn GF, with west coast winning by 8 points

If all goes to plan im looking at a freo-adelaide then either hawks/collingwood prelim thats for sure but would love to see a hawks/cats GF but dont think it will happen the way the draw is going.I use the predictor on AFL.com n worked some diff situations :)

I love how Cloke plays 1 good game for the year and now everyone is his friend again.

Collingwood can not win unless Cloke plays well every game, and it won't happen on Friday when Shoenmakers takes him to town for the third time this year :p

It's in my blood to say that Collingwood will take out flag #16 this year.
although somehow i think that it may be too hard with some of the recent form of Hawks or Swans even!
But ahh screw it, GO PIES!!!

Adelaide will win aganst Sydney - they match up very well against them. But I doubt either team will score more than 10 goals for the game.

Who gives Freo a chance against the Cats? I don't, but I certainly hope Freo win, aswell as North over the Eagles.

Freo have no chance against the Cats. While I'd like North to beat the Eagles (meaning both WA teams would be out and the biased media commentary would disappear) I can't see it happening at Subi. In Melbourne maybe.

Agree with 88GreenVN...Crows to beat Swans. With a home prelim final they are a pretty good chance of making the GF.....so Hawks v Crows GF on the cards.

But onto more important issues.....big congrats to Jumpin Jack for winning the Coleman with a bag of 6 and with Trent Cotchin probably picking up 3 votes today he's gotta be a sure thing for the Bronlow.

Who picked Port to even come close to beating Richmond today? LOL, what does this say about Richmond?
