Our second half sucked. I'm disappointed, but not as disappointed as Round 19 last year. It's only round 1 guys, and last year Hawthorn weren't even in the top 8 until round 9.

A different team came out in the second half and they were dead on their feet, I saw great things in the first half and was impressed with the two new guys Hill and Anderson I think was the other one showed strong signs, our match fitness was poor and it seems we need to be training harder in order to maintain intensity in games like this....we will improve, there was enough in the first half for me to be positive about for this game to not be a complete loss.
Bradley Hill has come along way since last year, and with losing Whitecross and Suckling to injury and Young to Collingwood, he gives us some good run that we have been missing. I'd probably write off next week aswell. Don't play Hodge, don't play Lake, get everyone fit and firing for Collingwood round 3.
True, but a 6 day break after a tough, physical game and a 4 hour flight, we shall see. I just read that Jeff Kennet thinks Alistair Clarkson should be sacked because our performance over the last 3 years.
I couldn't care less when kennet thinks, he had his time there...if he wanted him gone he should have done it when he was still in charge.
How bad are Melbourne right now? I've kept an eye on Melbourne since 4 years ago when they were rock bottom along with Richmond. I Remember in Hardwicks first year Richmond and Melbourne were equally as pathetic, but many people rated Melbournes list as better that the tigers. In his second year we won 1 each against each other and many in the Media were still putting their list ahead of ours. I think it was on Footy Classifieds in Baileys last year they all agreed Melbourne would play finals before Richmond In the last two years we've gone so far ahead of them it's not funny. Melbourne are no better than 4 years ago, despite all the draft picks. What went wrong? The whole coaching and development system must be so poor to have so many talented players which get there and never get better. The bits I saw of the game no one except Viney was chasing and tackling, even in the first quarter when the game was still in reach. It was as poor an effort as I've ever seen and I wouldn't be surprised if they finished below the expansion clubs this year

Yeah hawks and essendon have had plenty of big games, most of the time in my lifetime hawks have come out on top.....umad?
