Headlight surrounds are on fairings back on.
R/H duct is going to need major work done to it to fit .
Going to have a chat with a mate about composites and carbon fibre before I go cutting bits out of this one.
Delving into the email where I got the parts it says one item being readied to ship , why it didn't come with the others who knows, anyway hopefully should have it soon.
Also I've been wanting a new compressor= been putting it off.
I need one now . How dare it =it's packed it in after 30 odd years.
Anyway two more photos.

Guessing on last time = still to hit lax.
Wonder with covid19 how long this time to front door?
Not holding my breath but at least progress.

How long did it take to turn up? Two months and one day!
Was on the the front porch when I got home from work yesterday.

It's not perfect ( looks great ) but fit is not as good as the factory duct.
Had to file 2 of the 3 holes out to line up. Am also going to file a bit of an inside edge as well . Not sure it's hitting but recon it'll be better.
Get some resin to seal the edges ( paranoid about getting moisture in and delaming).

The worst is the back/hole/tang is totally the wrong angle , so today made some tapered washers to fit in (see 3rd and 4th photos).
Without them it pulled outside edge away from the frame ( looks shxt) and this also is a functional duct = send airflow to the back cylinder and help the 3 stage fan draw air over the back cylinder when stationery.

Also going to get some rubber to bond on to help with that sealing.
And also a pinch edge seal to run around the front cutout although might depend how it looks as to whether it stays!!

It looks good mate.
Next on the list: 90" hammer kit?

You're a bastard ( for my hip pocket) = ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

I started google search this = lol .

The basic kit is way more affordable than l expected!!!

Figured l'd do heads and cam as well . = supposedly buell 1200 had 100 hp , so 130 plus odd needs to be reasonable target.

But !!!!!!!!!!
Nothing is going to happen in the short term.
Hopefully finish this duct tomorrow .
Then need to modify RH duct = especially if moding engine .

Would be nice to get it rev more !!!

Was due 2 weeks before being made redundant = 3 weeks after the notice).
Huge debate this or Suzuki = way cheaper = but
which would I use more ( not that it's obviously been at all).
Today paid rms = so can now use = yesterday( even though 1 km there and 1 back ) made me go why soooo long!!!!!
In a happy space ( execpt for wanting coin for projects).
E.G. went fishing with a mate on Wednesday = caught plenty of whitening ( talking of going next week and target flaties.
Bought $10k of a share on Monday = sold while fishing = $421; .
Bought again at Monday's buy in at the end of the day = wow what a day!!!!!

Would love to make a better fitting/ seal between the carbon duct and the frame = well maybe one day!!!!

Long time ( almost 2 years ) since posting.
It's still good although had very little use and nothing has happened with RH duct or exhaust finish.

Did some google searching last week = ( BUELL lives again =new bikes ) also came across a business/company in the Netherlands that is big into these and therefore parts both OEM ( probably mostly 2nd hand ) and aftermarket.
Their exhaust especially the headers look way better than my Micron system , especially the front cylinder pipe which on mine is squash formed.

Anyway why posting =got a letter early last month ( I ignored ) , got another one the other week .

Concerning the red beast behind the Firebolt in post #77 ( the Suzuki RF 600 )= hasn't been regoed/insured since Sept 20 =why I ignored.
= we've calculated your insurance premium and identified you're entitled to a refund !!!
Anyway with the 2nd letter I rang expecting =sorry /yes a mistake .
Well = NO = then expected = yeah /fine /something like $5.60.

WELL = again NO = a bit over $77 a year!

=== X 12 = just under $933 =WOW
Never thought the premium was bad so , WOW =WIN !!!!!

Not sure where /what it's going towards = first thought was the Firebolt.

But I have done some searching/research

No idea yet whether I can afford ( while they are cheaper and more of , than I expected ) they are still not cheap , and $900 odd dollars only goes a small way towards)=but put towards.

One of the most innovative scooters .
And I've wanted one for ,well a bloody long time.
My pick late 1950s 192cc , 4speed, underslung/horizontal rear shock ,they all had single sided swingarm , 17" wheels ( small DIA wheels on scooters was/is a =well crap idea/fault ) , full size spare.
