Well the Blaupunkt has finally carked it so I'm looking for suggestions for a single din head unit. I have JBL GTO638's in the four doors (which sound fantastic). Would prefer something that integrates with the steering volume control, have pre-outs for the Kenwood KAC-M3004 amp (or be powerful enough to use on it's own) and drive the subs.
What is everyone doing and where are they mounting them? TIA Cheers.

Go to about 27mins.
This system out classes anything from outdated mainstream manufacturers.

Will be like a smaller version of a Tesla screen.

Thanks Fu Manchu.
I was looking for something a bit cheaper, really just a single din unit I could put in the glove box or similar, something with really good bluetooth connectivity, and just bypass the blaupunkt system.

You won't get much like that. It's because HVAC operation is incorporated into the head unit functions. What ever you get has to have compatible HVAC function.

a aerpro facia install kit opens up options, though if its duel zone you'll have to wait a bit as its not out yet

Sounds promising but have heard this for years. Best feedback to date though.

... finally it's available.
It comes in Black, so Calais will mean changing some other trim bits over to black to match.

It’s not lost. From what I can tell, a separate temp sensor is installed near the fan.

You get more easily visible hvac info with the adapter kit. You go through a set up procedure and once that’s done you set up your preferred settings.

You do loose the cubby underneath with the flip lid. Need to get a low spec tray.

Would need the black trim for the centre console.
