Gday,

Anyone can help me out where is the wiring near the auto gears to power up the lcd while reversing the car. I found the green wire in the boot to power up the camera. But I need reversing power connected to the screen so it comes up when gear is on reversed.

THANKS in advance guys

Damo

What Tasmaniak said, there is a white dealer accessories plug located behind the glove box.
The wire you'd need to tap in to is a light green one located on pin 3 (Backup Lamp Supply Voltage).

Just to hijack the thread for a sec...
What is this plug normally used for?
I have a series II CalaisV and want to hook up a Caprice auto dipping mirrior, I know I can get a positive and a negative from near the cig power connection under the radio, but would rather use this plug if I can..
Also can pin 3 be used to shut the power off on the mirror when reversing? (Mirror is supposed to be wired to the reverse lights somewhere?

What auto dipping mirror are you referring to?

Pin 3 supplies power only when reverse gear is selected, therefore once you engage a gear other than reverse the power is switched off to pin 3.

The centre rear view mirror that adjusts itself when too much light/glare from the car behind you..
That pin 3 is what I will need to use to turn it off when it is in reverse, is there also a 12v that comes on with acc/ignition at that plug?

Ahh right I get you now.

Pin 2 (Pink/Blue) is Ignition Voltage
Pin 5 (Brown) is Accessory Voltage
Pin 10 (Black) is Ground.

Hope that helps.
