Hey guys,

I am in the process of buying a VU SS at the moment.

I have an addiction to TE37's so I am going to buy some to fit, unfortunately information on aggressive offset wheels on these cars is few and far between and getting a test fit done is nigh on impossible as they have to be a custom order in a BMW stud pattern.

I am thinking something along the lines of 18x8.5 +22 on the front and 18x9.5 +22 on the rear, I would like to go for a 10.5 +22 on the rear but I am very sceptical it will fit

looking at 235/40 for a front tyre and a 265/40 or 35 for a rear.

Any input here appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

the correct offset is 48p so there's a 25mm difference, seeing as the wheels would poke out off the gaurds Im gonna stay that there's little chance off getting them on, especially if lowered

cant help you with the offset... but can help you with the tyre size :) 270/35/18 tyres have almost the same rolling diameter as 235/40/18's...i had to do a bit of research cos thats what im putting on my ute when i get rims lol

having ABS is the only thing stopping you from having a larger rolling diameter tyre on the rears, it make the speed signal from the rear different to the front and makes the ABS unit apply the rear brakes

this might help...http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator

yeah you're right...some 20x8 dolce's will look heaps better

thanks guys...ill have to look into it further!

someone emailed me a pic of this wagon last night

Widths and offsets are 18x9 +35 and 18x10 +24 so the 9.5's will go on the rear easy enough and the fronts will need a degree of camber added to go under also...this is good news

definately get some pics up when you get them fitted, got a mate trying to work out a nice offset aswell, and that pic right there is handy, yours will be even better.

if this is the same mr 1jz off ns.com then this man definitely knows how to fit some wheels. There was a thread on ns which had a vx ss sporting some cst hyper zeros in 17x9+17sh and 18x9.5+22ish. Obviously the usual guard lip, sack it + camber to make it look sick.

I didn't know that TE37s came/could be ordered in bmw pcd.

that VXSS had R33 skyline front and rear subframes mate...built by Shane Bingham so it doesnt really help unfortunately.

Unfortunately I have had to make a change to my plans on this one...budget is now dictating no more than 2K for wheels and tyres

I am looking at the linea corse Lemans wheels, they are basically an exact copy of a BBS LM II wheel

they come in 18x8.5 +35 and 18x9.5 +40 or 18x10 +35

im not scared of having to roll/lip the guards, is it likely I will get the 18x10 under the back with a 265/35?

wheels in question:

Ill be getting them in all matte black though
