Ok just turned it around so it looks like image above. Do i assume that having it the wrong way means buying another

I just bleed the system again and went for a drive but the air con doesnt feel colder then just having air blowing.

I will buy a new unit on monday and hopefully that fixes it :)

I was sure i connected as the old one was installed but looks like i didnt , feel like an idiot

I don't have a diagram for the VT but the VS heater tap routing should be similar. Hope this helps:

ok, if that is the case then the metel part on the heater tap is on the left side (closest to the right wheel) anyone with a VT commodore, can you take a picture for me ?? or anywhere I can download the vt workshop manual where it would show

where in the service manual did you find that pic, the other picture shows the metal part on the right side but your image shows on the left.
I am picking up a relay fuse tomorrow from holden, hoping guys in spare parts can tell me :)

found in manual page 314 (vt workshop) the metal part of the heater tap is on the right (opposite to the vs) . So looks like I have installed correctly so can only assume it needs regassing.

cheers

Looks like the metal part of the heater tap unit has been relocated from the LHS to the RHS on the VTs. However, the hose routing is the same.
