hey guyzz

been searching for some help but it seems to not be the control unit itself.

When i switch on the A/C, fan turns on as per usual. Head up display is normal.
However the compressor does not engage. (the usual load, and rpm drop)

just started happening yesterday.

Anybody have any ideas ?
i'm thinking or hoping that its a fuse or what not, but wanted to know if anybody has had the same problem.

Cheers guyz.

It might be out of gas where the pressure switch won't activate the clutch on the compressor, and if that's the case, if you can find the dryer, there should be tell tale bubbles in the sight glass, otherwise could be as you mentioned, just a fuse, relay etc, and no power to the pressure switch??
But i'm not an air-con mechanic, and these things can ****' em selves for all sorts of reasons???

Is the belt still on? The AC has a separate belt to the main belt.

Let me know how you get on. Mine has just done the same thing. Havent had a chance to look at it yet but it was making noises after the car was turned off. Now wont work at all.

Mine threw the belt three times in 2 weeks when I got it and then I found out there was a replacement bracket and belt to prevent it. I have an 06 though, I'm not sure if they fixed it by your year.

ok - just had a snoop around
and ended up being that the belt slipped off

seems to me that the tenion pulley thingy is abit of a design floor. I mean there should be a wall on it rather then nothing

anyway

Stone, what difference is with the new replacement bracket ?
