First of all, I think this question may have been answered some where in the last nine page. Unfortunatley, Im having trouble finding it.

Have a VR V6. Aircon works brilliantly. Apart from the fact that you can not change the direction of the flow. (Turn top nob. It remains on floor vents). Have tried a replacement module, Didnt fix the problem.

It also seems there maybe a short some where in the system as it keeps blowing out fuses. Any ideas where to start?

G'day all, have been reading thread looking for an answer, still am unsure?

My VT 98 has the following issue:
Air con light comes on when pressed no worries,
Compressor will not engage,
The only fuse/relay I could find labelled aircon was under bonnet near battery.
A mechanic mate checked & even with switch pressed on, there is no power getting to the compressor.

What fuses (if any) are under the steering colum that I could look at, or am I missing a location of a dedicated fuse for the aircon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Are there two separate fuses for 1/2/3 and hi mode?

No idea was thinking more of a bust switch maybe just asking other opinions.

Yer probably more likely scenario, which sorta sucks for you, probably a trip to the wreckers to grab another one and get stuck into your console. Id check the fuses first :whistling

Thats what i was questioning you about :p i always thought that the high mode fan also operated the rear demister on the same fuse. Unsure about 1/2/3 but i believe they would be the same fuse and operate something else as well.
