Just confirmed that the horn pad I got is faulty since it keeps the horn constantly on. Cleared airbag light with new clockspring and fitted original horn pad on. Is it possible to repair the horn pad? Does the horn pad have to be same part numbers?

Part number with “DDI” at the end is the donor part

I got it off some bloke he said he swapped this one out for a HSV one but I guess he lied since it’s faulty? My car is an 02 Calais

None of that matters. They are interchangable.
Have you checked the spring, when you push the pad to work the horn? Maybe its stuck on? Doubt it?

There’s no springs on this one like the VY maybe the contact was out of alignment, is there any way to adjust the horn contact frame?
