I just installed a sub in my Holden VE. my VE has the factory head unit,so it does not have rca outputs. I purchased a converter that goes from the left and right speaker wires to a rca output. . I decided only to connect the converter up to the back left side to the as that worked out anyway. So the sub works and i go to start my VE and it doest start. I had to purchase a new battery anyway so I installed the new battery and I start up my ve and it starts fine, but then it does the system check and it come up "airbag failure, contact dealer". I restart the car and it doesn't come up anymore. Should I be worried? Thanks

Probably disconnected one of the airbag related wires whilst working. Even putting it back on won't clear it

I don't think that would be an issue. I changed my steering wheel twice so I obviously had to disconnect the airbag and I never had this kind of fault after putting everything back together.
While working on it I removed the airbag fuse tho. Maybe try that, it might reset things.
