I was headed home from work today, and i heard a grinding noise so i pulled over and poped the hood and it sounded like it was coming from the aircon compresor. so i turned off the aircon and the noise stopped.

Has anyone had this issue and if so how much did ya fork out?
(i think its time for a new car):bang:

Sounds like the compressor is cactus if the noise is only there when the A/C is on. I priced one at holden a while back and it was around $900 for a new one. I got on on ebay for $80 second hand and it works perfectly. It will also require removal of the gas and then regassing.Get it checked out by a qualified air con expert because I'm not one and this is only my opinion.
