Is it possible to put a Aisin Out of ve into a Vs Ute.
v6 application, is that even a decent option?
Cheers in advance….

I would expect that it would be very difficult as the bell housing pattern would be different between the ecotec and the alloytec. You would need a custom belhousing and probably clutch, flywheel etc.

It would be cheaper to put the alloytec in the VS along with the transmission and do a full conversion.

It would be cheaper to put in a getrag or a t5 suited for the v6.

Well yes. I probably should have been more specific in that trying to put just the gearbox in the car would be a lot more difficult than putting the engine and the gearbox in so if your not after an alloytec conversion it would be best to look elsewhere.

It's possible with a custom adaptor kit but nit worth it.
It would literally be cheaper to use a T56 as the patterns are the same.

The autos in VE are actually different between V6 and V8 because of the bell housing patterns.

They're not, the LS is almost exactly the same as SBC, Buick/Ecotec uses GM metric.

And that they're also different gearboxes?

There was a thread here a while back which I was trying to find where somebody showed that there was a random Rodeo bellhousing you could use to fit an AY6 to an Ecotec, but have not been able to find it since. Obvs that's one very small part of the equation, but was interesting reading.

OP, no, not a decent or bolt in option.

Yes T56 to V6 needs an adaptor but most stuff lines up but alloy tec is a totally different story.
A mate has a VS V6 with a T56.

So yes I said it wrong and I'll admit that but what I said and what I.meant are different. Sorry for that guys.
