I never said it was, just thought it was funny that you get so upset about it only a 19 yr old would.

yeah only 19 y.o would say that

once they turn 20 they get common sense

alloytecs are so fantastic they are one of the few motors that require a timing chain replace before 100,000km

and all the while you see Falcon taxis with a half a million km with the original chain

VZs have depreciated heavily like all older Commodores... you see Execs for well under $10k... go for it if thats what you want because i doubt putting an alloytec in an VT will cost under than if you do it properly and all the while you get a mad 190kW crank to play with... *yawn*

Just so you know,

You are all way off topic?

Can it be done or has anyone done it was the question!

Anyway, the bloke is probably under assumption that it is 400hp,

The bloke that owned it probably had a small pew pew and wanted to feel big.

LOL.
Why does it matter if he was 19?

It doesn't matter. But guaranteed said vehicle owner had massive chromies, chops in the back and a flappy brimed white cap.

400hp breww, n ma m8 hez a 600hp Lansa GS brew. Got Nawz n all brew itz heepz sik ey.
The then they put it in [1] and drive up and down the main drag letting it run down in gear so it sounds like a manual, occasionally giving it a little throttle to make it sound like a lumpy cam.

Is it possible to fit an Alloytec to a VT, sure.
Can the OP do it, no. He had to ask if its possible. He can't do it.
Under the assumption it was 400hp?
Made an assumption based on no evidence anywhere ever in the world full stop?
There's a diagnosis for that: Dumb.

the question was,has anyone done it! and no i'm not 19, i'm 42!. The VZ in question was a heavily modified SV6 ute, with an engine build costing over $30k. If someone had just told me I wouldn't have believed it. The workshop next to my place of employment( i would of called it my work-but i dont do any ) had it in their dyno shed and i heard the noise, so i wondered over for a look and saw it with my own eyes. 402hp @ 7950rpm & 581nm @6550rpm. have no idea of engine mods, the oxner was a bit cagey about them. so how about staying on topic.

To remember the exact figures you must have a readout somewhere? I wouldn't mind a look if you can post it up.....

If no one has done it you could be the man to get it done first!
