My alpine 4 channel keeps cutting out at high volume, its not overheating. Ive also got 2 monos. 0gau from battery too boot then a distribution block into 3 x 4gau cables for the amps. Same for the earth. 0gau from seat bolt into distribution block etc. Monos stay playing strong but the 4 channel amp is cutting out. Its running 2 sets of alpine type r component speakers. Also battery is a yellowtop

When does it come back on? Is the protect light coming on? Or is the amp shutting down?(no lights on)

Amp totally cuts out. The blue light stays on but I have to totally turn off the headunit or car to get it back on. Its annoying. All gains are set to 0

Try disconnecting each rca lead individually. i had a 2 ch amp that was doing something similar. turned out one of the channels had dropped and caused the amp to overload and killed all sound.

All the rcas are quite tight in the connector. They got 0 chance of moving.

Start measuring things mate. Check for excessive voltage. Check heat. Check speaker impedance. Lots of things to look at.

what makes you say heat is not an issue? Not saying it isn't, just wondering what makes you say it isn't.

The feel of the amp is after a few hours of constant music at 3/4 volume isnt even slightly warm. Thats my guess to say its not overheating? My old amp got quite hot on the touch.
