SSV WAGON
Hi guys been a while and a few things have happened.
I sold my 08 sv6, and purchased a my10 ssv atomic wagon. And don't get me wrong I love the car.
However when doing anything to a v6 people used to say just buy a v8 and so on. I'm going to tell all the v6 owners apart from the ego boost. With all the traction control and so on its not that much of step up. Yeh its faster but not greatly and Yeh just my opinion but I don't know if I'd do it again...
Just a heads up to v6 owners.

they dont say buy a v8 cos its faster than a v6, they say if u want to mod and get bang for buck when modding, then a v8 is way ahead

Black ssv redline ute
have to say totally disagree lol
i was so impressed with the V8 the constant power the kick back in ya seat the growl under the bonnet the torque even the fuel bill.
I went from a svz v6 to a new ssv redline so i'm really impressed with the features of the ve series 2 the handling is unreal the ride is a lot smoother but just for the difference in the engine i will never be buying a V6 again :)

There's a pretty big difference between a stock SV6 and a stock SS.

Don't get me wrong, a stock 6L is no rocket ship - but it's a much torquier motor.

And it is VERY easy to get some pretty significant gains out of it, as opposed to the very limited gains to be had in a V6.

whats a bump stick?

Yeah I got lost on that one too... Maybe a stick you use to lift the car over shopping centre speed bumps when you lower it?. But in all seriousness I think he might be referring to a bigger CAM.

Cheers
Phil

Edit: beaten to it by slow vs....
