Type R's are a more SPL (volume) speaker than a SQ (quality), so it would go loud enough for most people, but would leave a bit to be desired for very fussy listeners. The amp won't give the sub enough power to get the most out of it, but if you don't want overpowering bass it would still do the job.

I have no idea why schrinky thinks its a type-s sub though.

You COULD get better for the same price, but if you are happy to pay for the convenience then its up to you

It wouldn't turn to a bad quality. It would definately be a massive upgrade from standard, both volume and quality-wise.
For the same money I would look at something like this:
Sub: Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - VIBE BlackAir 12
Sub Amp: Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Option Audio OAX801
Fronts: Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Audio Development AD6
Rears: Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - VIBE Slick 60 If you NEED rears
Speaker amp: Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Option Audio OAC160 Can use a 2ch and run the rears off the headunit if you like too

thanks man. the only thing about this way is its so much easier to take the car in and drive out with a system. i just hope that its ok sound and quality for the costs, so would adding another same sub to that amp not work?

Yeah, I end up paying extra for convenience all the time as well.
That amp barely has enough power for the single sub let alone 2 of them
