Alternator for 1984 VK running a 355

IF I buy another fan it will be a SPAL unit.

SPAL fans seems to be around the same price as Davies Craig fans.

Oh and I'm not recommending or discouraging for either brand....

120a will do job fine but need to upgrade wiring.

I use 85a off efi v8 models & vs v6 thermofan super quick & easy to fit with factory looks plus stock wiring as less load etc.

16 inch spal works fine on 202 but wont handle v8....know this from experince when lc torrie went from wild tripl;e webbered 202 to stock efi 304...only things that worked were clutch fan/shroud or au fans (avatar pic)

Most alternators have something like this to help identify what you have.

Model number and output rating. This is a V6 one, high output. 14 volts, 40 - 100 amps.

There are a few different 16" SPAL fans with quite a variety of CFM ratings.

It was highest cfm rating that they had that it needed bigger alternator...in cramped torrie engine bay wuth efi 304 it just wasn't enough compared to ugly fan/shroud & finally au fans
