Alternator wiring question

Hey fellas,

So this is abit of a differnt one but would be the best forum to ask, i have a small block chev and the alternator has sh*t itself.

My question is ive herd of alot of people wiring in vn commodore alternators just wondering if anyone done it?

Brown wire to alternator light white wire via a fuse to battery positive and obviously big red to battery.swap the pulley off the chev alternator onto vn v6 alternator unless you have a 304 alternator lying around.you may have to rotate the rear and middle housing around to get the regulator plug to clear the block depending on where its mounted

Sweet cheers for that, yeah mine **** its self thought id throw in a vn one as i know afew people that have used them and said they’re the way to go

Probably a good time to upgrade and fit a 115a remanufactured one.

Im asumming you just cut a plug off a vn loom and use the wiring off that

Yeah same plug as injectors and temp sensor so plenty easy to get
