Hey hey..
Ok, I think the Alternator in my 2000VX commodore has packed it in.. Someone told me to just change the brushes in it, but this thing seems almost as old as the car
My question here is.. would an Alternator from a VT fit my VX?

Didn't realise it had an Alternator issue until I had already replaced the battery 'sigh'

And this social distancing stuff is driving me nuts haha so I need to do something

Just had another look at the ad.. it says the alternator is for a VZ. Does that make any difference?

Yes it will make a difference, VZ alternator wont fit the VX series. You need one for a VT-VY V6

Wreakers be best they should be no more the 30-40 and they give you around a week warranty.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get an Auto8 like I did... The first one didn't last a full month. The replacement (which they sent completely free, also coving all postage - so the 'service' at least was very good) *is* going fine... But I'm probably never going to trust it.

It will crap it self within a year, I wouldn't of fitted it. Carry your tools and a spare if you going on a long trip.
