This is a good suggestion.

You have dual 4ohm voice coil subs. If you wire the coils into parallel each sub will produce a 2ohm load. If you then attach the subs to the amp in parallel, they will produce a 1ohm load.

That Rockford amp provides 2500WRMS into 1ohm. Perfect amount of power with a little bit of headroom.

That amplifier provides less than half the power of the Rockford amplifier. What you need to look at is the 'nominal', 'Continuous power output' or 'RMS' power ratings. These are a much more accurate way of comparing the power output of an amplifier. The maximum power output is a bull crap number that the manufacturers use for fully hectic marketing purposes.

The Rockford amplifier will suit your needs perfectly, the Pioneer will not.

It will provide you 1000W RMS for each subwoofer @ 1ohm. Although it still does not provide as much power as the Rockford (1250W RMS @ 1ohm).

Top of the line brands include Mosconi, Audison, US-Audio and so forth. Having said that, just about every brand has had a good amplifier/series of amplifiers over their lifetime. At this current point in time, the quality of components you find at JB Hi-Fi, Autobahn and so on are no where near the top of the line. STOP SAYING THEY ARE.
