I thought the one with all the bugs was the Advanced Ice unit?

The ICE unit was still a generic Android box that's marketed under other names as well... not sure if the Navi one is the same unit, but I was under the impression it was.

Its not an Advanced ICE unit. Its something completely different.

Made by a group called navtool. But.. if you read up about the company history, and others experiences with their products.. its quite conflicting.

Basically.. theres two part to the box (Just like the other android box)
1) Interface box which allows playing an aftermarket unit on screen (These are usually the buggy part)
2) Navtool box which has the car play

I know you're waiting to see the next version of MyLink Tazzi to see what you can do, but what do you think the likelihood of having them available in the future to retrofit into the VF?

No matter what, Im going to be attempting to get the next generation mylinks to work in a VF. Theres no question about that!

But whether its going to be feasible (cost of a basically new mylink from a wreck) and if there will be any missing options (Such as bimodal control) is a whole other story.

Wont know till its available really. Could be relatively easy.. or could be a huge undertaken where absolutely nothing is compatible. I expect them to continue with the same structure, but wont know till they are out on the streets.

For me - I love using the interface via voice.

eg 'OK Google next song' to skip the song that's placing
'OK Google dial 426Cuda' and it will dial a person who matches 426Cuda in my address book
Sending SMS without hands leaving the steering wheel.
Up to date navigation - that has google live traffic as well to route around traffic
Streaming music from Google Play

Some people work from there cars, me for one but with the V8 you just gotta listen to that beautiful noise!

Ah ok. Though, Mylink has some of those features. Voice command orks quite well in mine. Unless there is too much background noise eg at 115k's on a bitunen (non asphalt) road or very windy.

Did you know you can activate the Google Voice / Google Assistant from the steering wheel by holding down the voice command button?

I run Android Auto on my phone which can now just run on the phone without having to be connected to an Android Auto car head unit.l

Yep honestly CarPlay doesn’t blow me away especially when it’s not wireless.
