There is no such thing as a top spring plate? Has anyone ever noticed if someone goes in for a "free" inspection, they never seem to come out with the same bank balance as they went in with....

I'm glad Google answers all you car repair needs...

You might try and improve your grammar and punctuation, perhaps even your mechanical knowledge before commenting in future.

Perhaps you meant strut top bearing, but with your lack of understanding and poor terminology, it really could be anything, best of luck with Google, in your "Vz 2004 Belinda" ... lol

I have done my home work, by being a suspension specialist and you can't time a spring plate.....So I have effectively saved you the cost of a phone call.....An STD one too boot.....

Commodores don’t have CV joints on the front unless they are 4wd.

“Top Spring Plate” is a made up part.

If you’ve been around cars long enough, you’ll know Pedders reputation for milking the owner/“consumer with a wallet” for everything they are worth.

At a push, it could also be the top bearing.

I’d be looking at more obvious causes lower down, like has been suggested, like ball joints etc.
