Very nice pick up. The 540s have such a nice shape. Hope it goes well for you.

If you're handy with a polisher, the polycarbonate headlight lenses won't give you too much grief in cleaning them up. Give them a good wet sand with 2000 grit, finishing with 2500grit, then it's just a matter of polishing out the sanding marks. Just need to UV coat them then so it doesn't happen again. Takes a little while but it's not a difficult process. Just make sure you mask around the lights so you don't sand anywhere you don't intend to.

Thanks. Forgot to say that painter is going to have a go at the lenses (actually I think he hinted he'd get his mrs to) if they dont turn out good I'll look into replacements more seriously. Thanks for the advice anyway.

Haha, love how it's titled bimmer and most people in Australia call it a beemer. You can even hear the accent in your typing!
Really nice ride though mate, I bet you it's comfy as hell...

I have no idea what it is but there is a very thick clearcoat on it so wrapping should be simple enough. Been done plenty of times before.

Back from painters, headlights are better but still not great. Rest looks mint. Very happy. Sorry about pic quality

You'd still be able to get those lenses a lot clearer with a good sand and then refining with a polisher. Would be a slow process though. But unless you UV coat them, they'll haze and yellow again very quickly. But they do look much better with the yellow polished out of them.
